Greer First installs Ezell

An installation and commitment service was held Jan. 21 at First Baptist Church, Greer, for pastor Rick Ezell. He began duties Sept. 10, 2006.

Rick Ezell

Ezell, who becomes the 21st pastor at First Church, formerly was pastor of Naperville Baptist Church in Naperville, Ill., for 18 years. He is the author of six books and has published many articles for publications, including Christianity Today and LifeWay Christian Resources.

He is a graduate of Samford University and Midwestern and Southern Baptist seminaries. He also earned a doctor of ministry degree from Northern Baptist Seminary. He and his wife Cindy have one daughter, Bailey.
