James Lindsay Webb, of St. Matthews, a retired Baptist pastor, died Dec. 22, 2006. Born in Florence, he was a graduate of Florence High School, Furman University and Southern Baptist Seminary. His South Carolina pastorates included Friendship Baptist Church, Honea Path; McClellanville Baptist Church; Collins Creek Baptist Church, Murrells Inlet; and Carters Ford Baptist Church, Lodge. He was a member of First Baptist Church, St. Matthews. He was a member of the Garden City Antique Car Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a chaplain, and was a retired Lt. Colonel with the U.S. Army Reserves. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Wilson Webb, four children, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. |
