Clyde L. Fox, 82, of Mauldin, a retired Baptist pastor and active denominational servant, died Feb. 14, 2007. He served churches in both Carolinas. His South Carolina pastorates included Edgewood Baptist Church, Walterboro; Sardis Baptist Church, Timmonsville; Park Baptist Church, Rock Hill; Bethuel Baptist Church, Greenville; and Westview Baptist Church, Greenville. He was involved in many denominational activities, including serving as a member of the Nominating Committee for the South Carolina Baptist Convention; moderator for York and Colleton associations; trustee of Connie Maxwell Children’s Home; member of the executive committee of the General Board; member of the pastor advisory board for the Baptist College of Charleston; and member of the board of associates at North Greenville College. Survivors include his wife, Cleo Chambers Fox, a son and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by two sons. |
