Rodger D. Martin

Rodger D. Martin, 51, associate pastor of Mechanicsville Baptist Church, Darlington, died Jan. 31, 2007.

Martin was born in Buffalo, N.Y. He was a chaplain with United Hospice and had pastored at First Baptist Church, Lamar, and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Bethune.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a chaplain for the VFW.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Huggins Martin, his son and his parents.
