A foggy night and a field full of U.S. flags caught Ashley Mitchell's attention as she neared her home in Memphis, Tenn., in 2006. After learning from a police officer patrolling the area that the display commemorated the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, Mitchell recorded this image after midnight in the expanse of flags. Today marks the sixth anniversary of the 9-11 attacks.
