The 24th annual “Bring-a-Kid” race night at Darlington Raceway will be held Friday, May 7, with the running of the Darlington 200.
Worship leader Chann Carroll will sing at “Bring-a-Kid” race night at Darlington Raceway on May 7.
Tickets are $13, which covers gate admission and a meal. The deadline for reservations is April 8. The event is sponsored by Welsh Neck Baptist Association (e-mail welshneckassn@aol.com or call 843-332-7771).
A pre-race rally will begin at 5:30 p.m., led by Owen Robertson. Chann Carroll will provide music. Reserved seating for the race will be in the Tyler and Pearson towers.
“The mission statement of ‘Bring-a-Kid’ is to witness to the fans by presenting ourselves as the Christian race fans among the lost race fans,” said Tommy DeWitt, coordinator for “Bring-a-Kid.”
He said he hopes adult leaders planning to bring kids to the event will “spend time in prayer for opportunities to witness” and not just be interested in cheap tickets.
