The SBC's Great Commission Resurgence Task Force has issued its final report, which will be considered for adoption at the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention in Orlando in June.
Some of the more widely debated parts of the report deal with the proposed addition of a "Great Commission Giving" category for reporting church gifts that will include both Cooperative Program and designated gifts. Another recommendation calls for the phased-in elimination of "cooperative agreements," in which funds from the North American Mission Board have been sent back to state conventions for use in planting churches and for other missions work.
