Earl Hampton Sargent

Earl Hampton Sargent, 98, of Greenville, a retired Baptist minister, died April 2.

Born March 23, 1908, in Anderson County, he served churches in Anderson, Oconee, Greenville and Pickens counties. He retired in 1973 from Tabernacle Baptist Church in Pelzer after serving 19 years.

He was the widower of Helen Stone Sargent.

Surviving are two daughters, a son, two grandchildren and a step-grandchild.
