Gary Lander Hiott Jr.

Gary Lander Hiott Jr., 88, of Pickens, former trustee of The Baptist Courier as well as a former printer of the Courier, died May 1.

His company, Hiott Printing, which he co-owned, printed The Baptist Courier for many years. Hiott also was former co-owner/editor of The Pickens Sentinel, a charter member of the Pickens Rotary Club, an Army Air Corps veteran and a member of Pickens First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Eloise Kay Hiott, four children and seven grandchildren.
