Butch Blume The theme of the two-hour gathering was “Jesus to the World.” The service featured music, preaching, a youth-led skit, a missions slide show and a children’s procession through the sanctuary featuring flags from nations where Southern Baptist missionaries are serving. At the conclusion, worshipers brought to the altar sheets of paper on which they committed to pray for and support missions. Broadus Moody, director of missions for Piedmont Association, exhorted listeners to “put missions first in budgeting, planning and prayer.” Following the meeting, worshipers viewed displays from area and statewide Baptist ministries. |
