Murphy retiring from WMUPublished October 31, 2006
Jim Murphy Jim Murphy, associate in co-ed organization/ministry/language for the Woman’s Missionary Union, will retire at the end of December. He has been with WMU since May of 2000. Murphy, who previously worked for the North American Mission Board in Saluda Association for 21 years, will continue working part-time with WMU. “Jim has been an invaluable staff person, adding a new dimension to WMU,” said Evelyn Blount, director of the Woman’s Missionary Union. After retirement, Murphy and his wife plan to build a house in Greenwood to be near family. |
